There are three pairs of Barn owls on the farm and all use the boxes put up, One likes to be close to the farm buildings hunting over the set-aside and maturing apple orchard, another prefers the riverbank patrolling the nearby marshlands, the third the oak tree lined hawthorn hedgerow.
I'll refer to them as Apple/Marsh/Oak Owl, as its easier for me to remember there location.
Heres Marsh Owl taken at sunrise (June 2017), if you notice the feathers round the head, wet from the dew off the grass. Whats that in the left claw? breakfast for one of the three owlets.
