After the success with the Little Owls at Green Farm at Harlethorpe we decided to make things a little more comfy, i love canvas hides but they do tend to get a bit hot on a summers day.
There used to be several Chicken sheds on the farm dating back to the 1950's, one was left behind and after time had gained a lovely rustic look, in was later used as a amateur observatory, and later as a furniture store, the Barn Owl then claimed it until a few years back
(it now prefers the old grain silo fan duct).
We built a new solid base and frame, replaced several uprights as the shed was pretty rotten at the bottom but perfectly ok every where else. Below are a few shots taken.
